Shangri Lodge - Hiller Vacation Homes
Seclusion and relaxation await you and your family on Deerskin Lake in Eagle River. Shangri Lodge is a full-log home surrounded by woods and sits on the sandy shores of one of Vilas County's wonderful lakes. The home has a covered porch that runs along the front of the house and offers you spectacular views rain or shine. The stone fireplace and log beams inside the house set the tone for a north wood experience like no other. The home recently added central air conditioning!
The home comes with a private pier and a beautiful stone fire pit that overlooks the lake. The master bedroom (on the main level) has a King size bed, a wall of windows that provide awesome views of the lake, and a patio door that exits to a secluded stone patio. The second bedroom (also on the main level) has 2 full-size beds and a crib; a pack 'n-play is also provided. The third bedroom is on the lower level and has a Queen bed. The walk-out lower level has a rec room with a wet bar for those late-night gatherings! Musky Bay also has a washer and dryer, dishwasher, WI-FI, a DVD player, and gas and wood-burning fireplaces.
Shangri Lodge rents from Friday to Friday during the summer months and is pet friendly for a $100 fee per dog with a max of 2. Undisclosed pets will be charged a minimum of $150 per pet.

Perfect Place of Peace

The home fits with the Northwoods. Log cabin, slight slope to the lake, clean, spacious, fire pit, pier, quiet, and peaceful. Layout and amenities were just right for our party of 6 adults and a dog. Some outlets in the bedroom by the fireplace need replacing, as well as some of the mattresses (nothing we couldn't live with, just want to let owners know).

Very excited to be back up in Eagleriver. My father was across the lake in his cabin, we had my whole family with us...12! It was a fabulous visit!!! The cabin was stunning! So comfortable for the 12 of Us! The decorations where beautiful! I wish whom ever decorated would do my barn in Tennessee LOL! The kitchen was FULLY stock with food processor, crock pots etc!!! Very nice job! Would like to know where or who made the rock chair on the front porch, SO comfortable. You can’t go wrong by renting this cabin!!! We will be back for sure!!!!

Our annual family vacation was very good. The house suited our needs as far as sleeping arrangements went. The house is located in a very private area which was nice. The kitchen could use more dish towels and dishcloths especially when one is staying a week. The frying pans could use some replacing with non stick ones. Also the recyclable garbage can needs to be much larger. Had to empty it several times into trash bags and use a big marker to write recyclable on it. The lake was nice but not suitable for swimming. Very mucky bottom at the shoreline so our younger ones could not swim. Overall we had a pleasant time.

The house was very nice and perfectly set up for our group of 7. We loved the huge covered porch! Anytime we weren’t on the water, we were on the porch...rain or shine. The fire pit area is nice too! Even though you can see a house right next door, it still felt secluded and the pier is private. The only suggestions I have are that the grill is a bit small to cook for a large group and the people before us filled the garbage cans so we had nowhere to place ours. The cleaning service should have noticed this and taken care of it. Overall the place was fantastic!

The only real thing that we didn't like was the fact that we couldn't check into the cabin until 3 pm on Monday and the check out time was 9 am on that Sunday. You lose almost 2 days that you have too pay for.

The vacation rental lodge was perfect for our family! We were able to snowshoe around the lake, as well as ice fish, for outdoor activities. The interior of the lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. Although we couldn't communicate via cellular service with the Hiller Vacation staff, they were available via email and responded very timely. Thank you! We'll be back!

Very nice place. The property was well taken care of and comfortable. II would have preferred a better view of the lake. I went with an assumption and did not ask, so that was my mistake. Phone service for US Cellular is not existent at the rental, we had to drive towards Eagle River to get a connection. Definitely not a deal breaker, just an FYI.

The cabin was clean & had plenty of room for our group of 13. The lake was wonderful & the kids had a great time. The only negative is there is not a yard for the kids to play. Also the air conditioner was not adequate for the size of the house.

Musky bay was a great location, close to accomodations but also secluded. The home was clean and the perfect size for our large group of 11. Its an easy walk down to the water and plenty of space for enjoying the fire or water activities. Only negatives were the lake is shallow and quiet, so maybe not ideal location for families looking to be really active on the water. (better for canoeing, kayaking, slow boat rides) Also, the neighboring house is close. The service by Hiller was great, they answered all our question and were available the entire weekend by phone or email.
