On Little St. Germain Lake, fishing for the mighty musky is a challenge to the best of the fishermen. Once you tie into one you are hooked for good. The lake also abounds with walleye, small and largemouth bass, northern, bluegill, crappies, and perch.

We try to stay at Elberts each time we visit St Germain. We have stayed in several of their cabins and have always enjoyed our stay. Having Timber’s pub on property and easy lake access is a bonus. On our last stay we had a little issue with the furnace and gas fireplace but I was able to get in touch with property management quickly to resolve the problem.

We were very pleased/happy with our stay and cabin; especially during a time when cleanliness and safety are at an all time high. Cabin was very clean and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. We also got to see many friends that we see every year when we come up here. This year was very strange because of Covid which caused the bar to close our second week but we tried to make the best of it and look forward to next year.

Snowmobiler Review

The Homestead Elbert's was very nice. This cabin is built on a basement foundation so you don't get the "fun House" experience with floors sloping all over making you feel like you had too many. The hot water was plentiful with multiple showers going just like at home. Heat worked great, no cold rooms. Plenty of room for gear and fun. So close to the bar you could crawl like a baby if you needed to.

We were happy with the cabin. We stayed here in the past and this time they have a few new pieces of furniture - couch and love seat which were very comfortable. This has a large sitting area and the cabin was clean. It was the perfect size and location for our group. We'll be back again.

Stayed at Elberts Resort over Labor Day weekend and a few days after. We enjoyed the busy weekend but really enjoyed the quiet after everyone left. The cottage was clean and very nice. We also like the location, near restaurants, bars, general store and walking/ biking trail. Fishing was good too!

The Homestead is an old cabin but has a ranch open style where the kitchen, dining room and family room are open; thus letting you feel not closed in. The two bathrooms are updated and perfect. A new king mattress has been added this year to make your night's sleep restful. WIFI service is great. Many nights you can view deer from the deck. Years ago we saw a black bear. Close to everything but also nature.
