Sunset Bay Retreat features an open concept living room and kitchen that are bathed in bright light by lake facing windows. The kitchen has been perfectly appointed with everything you’ll need to dine, entertain, and enjoy your meals right at the cabin. There are two bedrooms with a futon in the living room for additional sleeping accommodations.
The cabin’s deck is the perfect spot to start or end your vacation day! Cuddle up around the fire pit as you watch the night sky light up above you. A large picnic table and a charcoal grill have been provided to enjoy cookouts next to the lake. Cruise the lake by rowboat and explore one of the islands found in the lake’s many bays.
The lake frontage is sandy and is great for swimming! The private pier is an excellent place to take in the sunset, do a little fishing or enjoy your evening cocktail. Little St. Germain Lake is over 920 acres and is known for its fresh, spring fed water, good water clarity, and a healthy population of musky, bass, crappie, bluegill, northern pike, perch, and walleye. There are numerous eagle nests around the shore of the lake, watch as they skillfully dive for fish!

Fantastic sunsets. Very nice cabin. Property does need a paddle craft friendly launch site. That would be a huge plus. Plan to return.

had an easy drive up and found the cottage to be clean and comfortable. Did some boat rides, biking, and hiking. One trip into Eagle River. Nice quiet evening meals with good wine. Only downside was colors had not quite peaked. Overall, very pleasant, same as last year.

This cabin was great for 2 gals who wanted to get away. The cabin is close to the lake, and the view was amazing. East Bay was so quiet, the location is great! The cabin was clean when we arrived, and easy access into the cabin by key code worked great. There are a few things that could be done to make future guests more comfortable. The bathroom shower either needs replacing or new grout. A new set of pots and pans with large lids for fry pans and a large boiling pot would be a quick fix in the kitchen. It would be nice to have blinds for privacy on the front windows in the living room to close in the evening. And as cute as the antique bed is in one of the bedrooms, the mattress was comfortable, but the large springs make a lot of noise! Restless sleepers beware... Just suggestions to the owners to improve the up north experience of future guests. Good WiFi reception, and the TV worked great. So....we would return to this rental for sure, and the location was perfect. The dock was perfect for our rental pontoon, and no steps to the lake! A slice of heaven for sure.

The cabin is located near the lake with a good view of the lake. We had privacy from the near by cabins. The water by the dock is shallow for bigger boats but is in great condition. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here. The only thing we would change is the futon in the living room is hard and uncomfortable. Fishing was great and there is plenty of wildlife around, a doe with her dawn.

Up North Getaway

To get away from the city and to stay in a cute little cabin, on a lake in the woods was truly restful and refreshing. It was so quiet! We saw eagles flying and swooping over the lake, deer grazed at our cabin everyday and the stars were so bright it felt like one could almost touch them. We rented a fishing boat and although the fish weren't biting, we just enjoyed being on the lake watching our bobbers or riding around. The cabin was exactly as described. Clean, cute and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking. Thank you for a rejuvenating getaway. We will definitely come again.

We decided at the last minute to come up to St. Germain and Hiller's vacation home rentals had a perfect spot for us. We've used them in the past and they have always been most accommodating. Along with my wife, son and granddaughter, we had a great time. The home was prefect for our stay. Clean, cozy and comfortable. Bass boat we rented from Hiller's was perfect and the fishing in mid August was very good. We caught bluegill, perch, crappie, walleye, bass and northern pike. We will be back next year for sure.

Sunset Bay was an excellent choice for us, clean and comfortable. All the amenities you need for a cabin getaway and more. Situated on the East Bay of Little St. Germain couldn't have been more ideal - minimal boat traffic and great fishing/swimming right off the dock. We couldn't get enough dock time, paddle-boat or row-boat time and of course firepit time! Don't feel like you have to pack all your meals, etc. to load your vehicle down, St. Germain has a grocery store about 5-10 minutes from the cabin. We always talk about buying a cabin "Up North", but why do that when you can rent (inexpensively) a great cabin like this for the few times of year you'll (honestly) use it. We'll definitely be back!

Was a great cabin for my girlfriend and I . Was very clean and had everything were were looking for. We were able to park or boat right at the dock. And we’re also able to ride our atv right out of the driveway onto the atv routes. Also hiller vacations staff was very helpful in every way .

The place and lake where wonderful. The Hiller staff was great to work with. We rented a kayak and paddle board from them. They delivered thsee very quickly. Plan to book with them in the future.

Hillers is the best! We rented a cabin called Sunset Bay that they manage and it was very clean and tidy. Everything was in place and in great working order. It couldn't have been better.
