“Ruffin It” – an affectionate play on words for this premium Northwood’s cabin is a modern, professionally designed and decorated luxury cabin. Originally built in the 1930’s, “Ruffin It” has been subtly designed to fit within its surroundings and maintain the distinct charm and character of Pinehurst Resort.

With hardwood flooring throughout, generous bathrooms with your choice of either a soaking tub or walk in shower, granite counter tops, cathedral ceilings, full stainless steel kitchen with dishwasher, automatic gas fireplace, wireless internet and of course, the best view of the water imaginable.

Offering accommodation for up to 6 people, in the form of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. “Ruffin It” comes equipped with everything you’ll need to relax during your stay including premium mattresses and a well supplied kitchen.

Located within Pinehurst Resort, “Ruffin It” is nestled within the Red Pines of Little St. Germain’s West Bay. West Bay is “The” Bay on Little Saint, with spring fed water, good water clarity, exceptional fishing and water sports. In addition Pinehurst Resort offers a level sandy beach, generous shared piers, swim raft and campfire pit.

For those in need of accommodation for more than 6 people, next door you’ll find our take on a modern Northwood’s fishing cabin, “Northern Comfort”. Newly remodeled, “Northern Comfort” offers two bedrooms and one bath. While smaller than “Ruffin It”, Northern Comfort offers it’s own premium experience, well suited for extra guests, smaller families or a fishing retreat.

Perfect cabin!

Beautiful view, great beds and furniture, well stocked kitchen! 2 couples rented the cabin for a fall color trip. The cabin was clean and just like it was described. Close to stores and restaurants and near their walking trails. We had 2 suggestions: Check the floor of the basement bathtub. It seemed to have some “give” which could be a slip hazard. Also, I’d recommend putting liquid hand soap by the kitchen sink and add it to the bathroom as well. The bar soap is messy. Overall, we’re hoping to make this an annual event! Great property!

Our stay was perfect. The views of the lake, beach and piers are truly amazing at sunrise. Get up early and watch the deer explore the pine trees. This year loons graced the bay as did the eagles. A sunset BBQ on the large deck is a perfect way to end a day.

Just like the beautiful photos, an enchanting cabin nestled in the pine trees on a quiet bay on Little St. Germain Lake. We enjoyed fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, and biking. Along with watching the majestic eagles and loons with their eerie calls. We especially had fun hiking the nearby Shannon Lake Trail, Fallison Lake Trail, and Star Lake Trail. They all had spectacular views of the lake. We can’t wait to get back to the Northwoods!

We had a great time and enjoyed the cabin's beautiful interior designs. Didn't expect to have to go to a lower level for 2nd bath and there is a window looking into the shower area that does not allow for total privacy - but, that bathroom was great in every other way! It would be very nice if there were some kind of nightstand for the beds. The fireplace was wonderful with large flames! Could not find salt and pepper. Lovely Cottage!

Great week at the lake

Our third year renting Ruffin It, and it was as wonderful as the first year. The cabin is updated, neat, clean, very comfortable, with all necessary kitchen items. Enjoyed the larger deck. The pontoon is a must-for cruising the lake, swimming, spotting wildlife (deer, loons, eagles). We usually visit a few supper clubs in the area, but with COVID, we cooked all our meals. Did use the walking/biking trails, which are wide, and well maintained.

Ruffin It is beautiful! Newly remodeled and worked well for our small group. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing get away and this location fit the bill. At first we were unsure because our cabin didn't have its own fire pit, but no one used the shared fire pit down by the beach so that wasn't an issue.

We loved Ruffin It! The cabin was beautiful and clean and had an amazing view. It has easy access and is very convenient with the lake for the kids and having a pier for the boat.
