Welcome to Timberlane Resort, a true gem of the Northwood’s. For generations, guests return year after year to savor our private setting, timeless beauty and spectacular sunsets.  Located within minutes of Eagle River on the Eastern shore of, private and spring fed, crystal clear Meta Lake.

Set among towering pine trees, the resort features 4 newly remodeled cottages. With western exposure, each tastefully furnished and graciously appointed cottages have a private boat dock and 14 foot boat and outboard motor. Reserving the entire resort provides accommodations for up to 42 guests comfortably and a private lakeside destination for your family and friends to cherish and enjoy.

The cottages, Bass, Musky, Perch and Walleye, have been carefully designed and meticulously decorated to provide a warm, inviting space to make memories with your family and friends. The Walleye Cottage has four bedrooms and two baths; the master bedroom has breathtaking lake views, a king bed and an attached bath. The spacious, Northwoods interior provides an open style living room and kitchen with an attached lakeview sitting room that is blanketed in natural light.

Both Bass and Musky Cottages will feature all new furnishings and appliances in the spacious living room and kitchen. With 3 bedrooms and over 800 square feet, the cottage is the epitome of cozy lakefront luxury in the idyllic setting of a Northwoods resort. The interior is designed to bring the beauty of the landscape inside with locally milled, pine shiplap walls, ceilings and flooring. Vaulted ceilings and canned lighting will continue the cabin-like ambiance while providing an open, comfortable space to entertain and unwind.

The Perch Cottage is tucked beneath the pine tree canopy for an elegant, peaceful environment with access to all resort amenities. This beautiful cottage features 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, with ample open living space to enjoy a memorable vacation with your family and friends.

Timberlane has all the amenities you need to enjoy vacation on the lake with stand-up paddle boards, kayaks and water toys provided for your use. Moor your watercraft at your own pier and get adventurous jumping off the swim dock and zipping down the resort’s own water slide. The resort also has a fish cleaning station, which will come in handy after reeling in the days catch on Meta Lake. After a day full of lake activities, enjoy the cottage’s hammock or lay back in a zero gravity lounge chair and take in the starry night.

The Resort is now offering winter reservations to experience and explore over 500 miles of snowmobile trails in Vilas County! Ice fishing on Meta Lake is a favorite of locals and can be the ideal spot to test out your winter skills. Located just a short drive from downtown Eagle River, for convenient shopping, dining and entertainment, enjoy the privacy of your own cottage while still enjoying your local Northwoods destinations.
